Gulf of Alaska Board of Investigators - GABI
As the guiding body for the NPRB Gulf of Alaska Project, the Gulf of Alaska Board of Investigators is responsible for scientific leadership, encouragement and oversight in program integration, data exchange and synthesis, dispute resolution, and for providing scientific input to the NPRB.
The GABI is specifically responsible for ensuring coordinated planning of field, lab and modeling work to be performed in line with the approved statements of work and the goals of the overall program. With the NPRB program manager, they also plan annual PI meetings, help organize special issue publications, represent the Gulf of Alaska Project at outside scientific and public meetings, and proactively promote scientific partnerships with other programs as applicable. GABI members also share the results of discussions and meetings with the other researchers.
The GABI is composed of five members, one from each of the four science components of the study, and the lead data manager (to be determined by March 2012). Current members include: Jamal Moss, Olav Ormseth, Russ Hopcroft and Sarah Hinkley, and the NPRB Representative is Danielle Dickson. For more about the GABI, please see the Terms of Reference.
